Toilet DuckThe Toilet Duck Award was established alongside Tedfest in 2007 to acknowledge the role Stand-Ups such as Dermot Morgan and Ardal O’Halon played in the development of Father Ted. It is awarded each year to the Winner of a bitterly fought contest held during the Mainland celebration of Tedfest. Here’s the Hall of Fame:
Since winning the inaugural Toilet Duck Sharon has gone on to a successful career in both Stand Up and Television. Best known for role as ‘Concepta’ in the RTE 2 hit comedy ‘Bridget & Eamon’ she has also appeared in C4’s ‘Trojan Donkey’, CBBC’s ‘Roy,’ Moone Boy and the Narrator for RTE’s ‘Don’t Tell the Bride.’ A founding member of sketch group Ghost Train Willy she also performs improvised comedy weekly with The Dublin Comedy Improv  and recently debuted her one woman show ‘The Curse of the Button Accordion’ to rave reviews at Smock Alley Theatre.

After bursting onto the scene and winning Toilet Duck 2008 Bob has brought his wry, cynical wit to major comedy clubs like Dublin's International Comedy Club and Laughter Lounge. He has also played the Kilkenny Comedy Festival and Galway Fringe Festival, where he won Best Comedian in 2015. Featured on RTE's "Stand and Deliver" and "The Last Word" on Today FM Bob is currently co-host of Ireland's Smallest Comedy Club at The Dew Drop Inn and is a Resident MC of The Roisin Dubh New Comedy Showcase, both in Galway City.

To date the only priest to have won Toilet Duck, FJ Murray (an anagram of Furry Jam) has played in all the major venues around Ireland and beyond including the International, Laughter Lounge (Dublin & Galway), Kings Head (London), Belfast Empire, Cork City Limits and The Stand (Edinburgh). He performs an observational, charming and witty brand of humour. Originally from Mullingar, he now lives near Navan, a place he calls East West Meath. FJ Murray's stand up career looks like it will continue to blossom for many years to come

Since winning the fifth Toilet Duck Award Edwin Sammon has established himself as one of the most popular comedians in the country. His unpredictable and immensely likeable style has led to him supporting the likes of Jason Byrne, Fred Cooke and Ardal O'Hanlon on their nationwide tours. In 2013 he was part of the sold out nationwide "Lads Of Comedy" show and is currently gaining new fans in his role as Fr. Gabriel in RTE's "Bridget and Eamon" and as Co- Presenter on "Republic Of Telly." He is bringing his first solo stand up show  "Edwin Sammon vs Cancer" on a nationwide tour in 2017.

A charming performer brimming with imagination, George Fox's comedy and sketches can be seen on Irish TV( RTE, TV3), heard on radio (Spin FM) and seen almost everywhere on the internet. A constant Headliner at every major venue across the country he has also been a consistent feature of Ireland's top music and comedy festivals including Longitude, Electric Picnic, Vodafone Comedy Festival and Kilkenny Cat Laughs. He's most known for being a part of Facts' "Irish People React" videos which has so far gathered over 200 million views online with his work being featured by MTV, Cosmo, and many more.

Following in the footsteps of Simon Pegg, Dylan Moran and Dara Ó Briain Danny was handpicked this year to perform as part of the iconic “Best of The Edinburgh Fest” Show and has just returned from Australia touring Perth World Fringe, Adelaide Fringe Festival and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival. On the back of four successful solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Danny has performed at various festivals such as Electric Picnic, Latitude and The Vodafone Comedy Festival. He is the resident host and co-owner of The Comedy Crunch in Dublin and is regularily seen on RTE, TV3 and Comedy Central.

Dublin based comic Donal Vaughan won the 2014 Toilet Duck Award after two years in the business. He now gigs regularly all over Ireland and the UK in venues such as The Stand, Glee and The Comedy Store. In 2015 Donal won his second major award, The Laughing Horse NATY. He is now a regular performer at many of the major comedy festivals such as Dublin, Belfast, Galway, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Brighton, York and Hastings. Being a big science fan, Donal always tries to add some science into his comedy and this year brought a very successful science comedy show for children to the Edinburgh Fringe.
Only a couple of months into his comedy career, Paul won the Capital Comedy Competition and went on to win the coveted Toilet Duck Award. This led to him establishing himself as a regular on the Irish comedy circuit.  When not on tour in the UK and Europe Paul is kept busy on home ground opening for the likes of Neil Delmare, Karl Spain and PJ Gallagher and is also the regular MC at 'Tallaght Comedy' and 'Komedy Knights'

Winner of this year’s Toilet Duck Bernard has exploded onto the comedy scene and is also behind many viral hits including The Irish Listening Test, Irish Rail English, V Irish and The B Team. His sharp, quirky, New Age impersonating style has already landed him shows with Jason Byrne and Ardal O’Hanlon.

The current incumbert of The Toilet Duck Award this Galway based native of Tullamore is already firmly established on the Irish comedy circuit having performed at the Electric Picnic and toured with the likes of Dave McSavage and Rubberbandits. He is also recognisable from the popular YouTube hit ‘Man Flu, the Truth’ which has received over a million hits. Johnny set up and runs Ireland’s Smallest Comedy Club in Galway city along with being the regular MC at Galway’s Roisin Dubh Tuesday night Showcase show.
